WUHS Forensics Tournament

The Woodstock Union High School hosted a Forensics Tournament. No this wasn’t a CSI contest, it was an interscholastic debate and interpretation of literature competition. Students “compete” in three rounds of a judged type of public speaking. The local, regional and national events are governed by the National Forensics League (NFL—no, not the National Football Leauge) and locally by the Vermont Debate and Forensics League) Students are judged by three different judges. Students are required to attend three (3) tournaments to qualify for the State Tournament, to be held at the Vermont State House next Saturday February 9, 2013. The District Tournament will be held in Oneonta NY in March.
