BarnArts Summer Youth Institute debuted its inaugural summer show last weekend with three sold out performances of the musical OLIVER! held at the Barnard Town Hall. The cast included over 40 kids ages 5 to 18 who worked for five weeks preparing for the show. The stunning three-level set was designed by director Tom Beck, fiber artist Julia Watson created the costumes, and BarnArts artistic director Jarvis Green choreographed the dancing as well as taught the singing roles.
